We Recreated the Infamous Sting & Stewart Copeland Fight Interview!

&You’ve probably seen the iconic Sting & Stewart Copeland fight interview clip. It’s that legendary moment where their famously fiery creative differences boiled over right on camera, perfectly capturing the brilliant friction that made The Police one of the greatest bands ever. It’s a piece of rock history we, and clearly you, find fascinating. So, when we put out an Instagram challenge to our amazing followers, we knew we had to aim high!

It all started with an Instagram post. We shared the original clip of Sting and Stewart, highlighting their unique dynamic, and put out a challenge to our amazing followers: If that post hit 1,000 likes, we’d film our own Police Academy version. And guess what? You guys delivered! The likes poured in, proving just how much everyone loves a bit of rock and roll drama (and the band behind it!).

So, true to our word, we gathered our “Sting” and “Stewart Copeland,” meticulously studied the original footage – every glare, every exasperated sigh, every perfectly timed cutaway – and then, we shot it. From the subtle shifts in posture to the barely concealed eye-rolls, we aimed for a spot-on, humorous homage to one of rock’s most infamous interviews. It was both hilarious and strangely insightful to step into those shoes (and those arguments!).
