We Talked Police, Tributes, and More on The M25 Show!

Hey Police fans! We, The Police Academy Tribute, had a blast hanging out with the crew over at The M25 Show. We wanted to give you the inside scoop on what we talked about, and maybe you’ll learn a thing or two about us!
First off, a huge shout-out to Steve, Eddie, and Alberto for having us on. We had a great time chatting about everything from the magic of The Police to the behind-the-scenes of the tribute band world. We even got to stay in character a little, especially Christian (Andy) – keeping things lively as always!

For those who don’t know us, we’re dedicated to bringing you the most authentic live Police experience possible. We’re not just playing the songs; we’re channeling the energy, the passion, and even a bit of the playful on-stage dynamic that made The Police so iconic. We’re talking about Joshua nailing Sting’s vocals and moves, Jon bringing Stewart Copeland’s incredible drumming to life, and Christian capturing Andy Summers’ intricate guitar work. We even go to great lengths to find the right clothes and instruments!
One of the coolest things we talked about was how we formed. It all started with our Beatles vs. Stones show. We’re all career musicians with a jazz background, and when we jammed on a Police song during a soundcheck in Florida, it just clicked. Joshua whipped up a setlist the very next morning, and The Police Academy Tribute was born!
We also talk about being involved in a bunch of other tribute acts. Christian and Jon rock out in the Doors tribute Wild Child, and Joshua performs as Elton John in his tribute. Jon and Josh perform in a Pink Floyd tribute, and Christian even channels Carlos Santana in a Santana tribute. Needless to say, we’ve got some experience in the tribute world.
We’re passionate about playing as much of The Police’s catalog as possible, including those deep cuts that true fans love. But of course, we know you want to hear those classic hits, and we deliver them with all the energy and authenticity we can muster. We even incorporate some of the extended jams and on-stage antics that made The Police’s live shows so legendary – though we haven’t started any actual fights… yet!
We talk about some killer shows we had coming up that we’re excited about:
* We just played a CBGB night in Long Beach at the Gas Lamp, alongside tributes to Talking Heads, Blondie, and The Ramones.
* We played a free, all-ages concert in the park in La Habra Heights on June 25th.
